The Tully River is an integral part of clean, green energy production, thanks to the operations of the 88 MW Kareeya Hydro. They vary the water release time pending capacity, production and volume which means we vary our Tully rafting itinerary in line with them. This ensures you’ll have the very best possible rafting experience.
The White Water Adventure Of A Lifetime. Conquer grade 3 & 4 rapids on a wild ride through a spectacular gorge surrounded by World Heritage rainforest. No experience necessary, our River Guides have got you covered. It’s a full day out with departures from Cairns, Mission Beach and Feluga.

- Enjoy the scenic drive to Tully and meet your fellow rafters
- Travel to the top of the Tully River Gorge and get fitted with rafting gear.
- Meet your River Guide who will give you a safety briefing and paddling instructions before it’s time to hit the water!
- Travel down churning white water to tackle epic rapids along the Tully River
- Arrive at the take-out point and change into dry clothes.
- Indulge in a hearty pub dinner with your guide and crew, view photos of your trip.
- Kick back and relax as we transfer you back to your accommodation. and compare river stories surrounded by a living history of epic rafting on the Tully River!

You MUST have a competent swimming ability and be able to understand and follow River Guide instructions in English to participate in Tully River Rafting. This is for your safety. English speaking and comprehension will be assessed by River Guides at the time of pick up; if there are concerns about your ability to understand instructions and communicate with our River Guides you will not be able to participate in the tour and no refund will be provided. Rafting is not suitable for anyone who may be pregnant.

- Our rafts carry up to seven passengers plus your river guide. No experience is necessary
- Mission Beach (Daily): Pick up at approx 11:45am | Return 8:30pm
- Mission Beach (Seasonal): Pick up at approx 8am | Return 5pm
- All participants will be required to sign a liability release form prior to the trip commencing
- No experience necessary, our River Guides have got you covered.
- Water-based activities contain a certain element of risk and all participants must sign a Liability Release Form. People traveling under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian to be able to sign this form at the arranged pick up point.
- Participants must disclose any medical condition prior to traveling.
- Be aware that some medical conditions may exclude people from participating in our tours, eg pregnancy.
